BLIND RIVETS

Among the mechanical fixing systems supplied by R.S. Service of Bergamo, the company also offers a wide catalogue of blind rivets, fastening systems that act as a junction between two surfaces.

The blind rivet is used in all cases where it is not possible to make welds, such as between two sheets, but not necessarily metal ones. It is also the ideal solution in applications accessible only from one side.

The rivet is formed by two components: the bush, that is the rivet head, and the nail, the longest part that protrudes from the bush. Using a special tool called a riveting tool, the bush is inserted into the hole on the two plates, and the nail is pulled until the bush is deformed so that it fixes the two surfaces together. At the same time, a breaking force is applied to the nail, which is then torn off and removed from the application, hence the name “blind rivet”. Once installed, the rivet can no longer be disconnected.

R.S. Service provides standard rivets and special rivets, intended for different applications and materials, as well as riveting machines, special tools for the application of threaded inserts and tear rivets. The fields of application of blind rivets are many, including the automotive and shipbuilding industry, building constructions, medical applications, household appliances, industrial machinery, etc.

Specifically, we offer blind rivets of the following types:
